For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:26
COMMUNION
We believe Communion or the Lord’s Supper is a tangible declaration of the gospel.
As a gospel-centered church, we want everything we do to center on the gospel. To help us do that, we want to take communion every week in our Sunday gatherings as an opportunity to remind ourselves of what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross. Taking Communion does not provide salvation, but it should be done by those that have placed their faith in Jesus as a way of remembering the salvation already provided in Christ. While we do not believe the elements become the physical body and blood of Jesus, we do believe that the Holy Spirit works through communion to remind us of our need of grace, our commitment to others in the church, and our future hope. After each sermon, we will take communion to remember that it is Jesus who gave up his body so that we could live, and that his shed blood forgives our sins. We offer grape juice or wine to represent his blood and bread to represent his body (gluten free is available).
